What direction is the market going?

October 3, 2023

With the key interest held on September 6th, we took a step in the right direction for increased buyer confidence. The rate hold, in combination with many investors pulling back from the real estate market over the last year, provides a unique opportunity for those looking for primary use homeownership to engage in a less competitive market. This past spring when rates were held home prices quickly increased. Hard to say if another rate hold or two will do the same, but with that in mind, the Fall could provide good options for buyers before the market becomes more competitive. With the large influx of immigration planned, we are still in a housing shortage and demand (along with prices) should increase as rates stabilize. As always, reach out if the DL Group can assist. All the best!
